This sounds like it may be related to a setting of when the instructor can participate in a course. This is normally controlled by the admin when they set the dates of the terms. If you're relatively new to Canvas, they might not have fully understood the implications of setting the instructors to only have access through the end of the term. We stop our students from participating at the end of the term, but we allow our instructors to have access for a couple more months to grade and finish up incompletes that may happen.
You can try going to your Course Settings and extend the end date of the course another day or two. You may not be able to change that date, but I would start there. Hopefully the course dates would override the term dates and let you continue. If you're not able to change the date, then you may need to reach out to your canvas admin so they can change it globally.
In fairness to the Canvas admin, the dates can be confusing. There are term dates, course dates, and section dates, with each overriding the one before it, but then there are options that you can specify for students to when they get access than can modify the behavior still further.
