[ARCHIVED] How can I un-do a grade change in the Gradebook?

Suppose I accidentally click in the wrong row in the Gradebook (because, say, the "Assignment muted" tags won't go away and they are blocking my view of the gradebook column) and I enter a score (including hitting a return). How can I restore that entry to what it was before I edited (or, at the very least, find out what it was before I edited it)?

On a related note, how can I tell which of my TAs modified a score in the Gradebook (and what it had been before it had been modified in error)?

 @hasti , here are the directions for seeing the grading history - How do I view the history of all grading changes in the Gradebook? And who entered the grade. 

**Edited this is part now incorrect and can be done with the course grade history - Yet, to know who entered or changed a specific grade you would need to check with your Canvas Admin. They have a report they can run that will provide the information you’re wanting.

Thanks  @kona ‌! I had forgotten about that feature (since it didn't use to be supported for classes of the size that I and all my colleagues teach). It works now (at least for my smaller class of ~300 this semester, hopefully it will for my larger class of ~500 next fall). Also, it does include info about which grader changed the grade, so I can tell which of my TAs changed a grade. It also occasionally lists the grader as "not available", but it seems like in those cases no score was actually changed, so maybe it's a hiccup in the system.

Very cool! I’m glad that feature has that option! I don’t remember it being there before, but it’s great that it’s there now!

This is NOT a solution to the question.

Being able to see the gradebook history is a start... but this is not a way to undo or revert a change. 

I accidentally overwrote all the scores for one assignment when I was assigning a default score.  Somehow the "overwrite" box got checked.

I found this post looking for a real solution.  Seeing the gradebook gives me a way to manually change the 100 affected grades, if I'm willing to put in the work, since I can see the original grade.  But the gradebook history doesn't even sort the students. Gradebook history gives me the data on 100 students' grades for this one assignment, but the students are all listed in a some random order. So I have to hunt for one student at a time and type in the new (old) grade.

Canvas has made it so easy to make a mistake, and virtually impossible to correct it.

This is a poor workaround. With only a mistaken key press necessary to change a grade, it is likely that I or one of my TAs will change a grade without even realizing it. Am I supposed to check the grade history on some schedule in the hopes of finding a mistaken grade change. It would take less time to just revert back to keeping on grades on a sheet of paper.

It takes me a minimum of 8 clicks to upload and post a PDF, but only one inadvertent key press to mistakenly change a grade, even if the gradebook is open only to check a grade. This is ridiculous. Why on earth is there not a "Save" or "Cancel" option on the gradebook?

Six months have passed since I posted the comment above, and there is still no resolution to this mess, let alone a response explaining how my understanding is wrong. To reiterate:
