How can a teacher find a student that was dropped from their class and is no longer showing up in Canvas?

A student dropped a year long spanish class at the semester. Now the student is no longer showing up in the teacher's gradebook for 1st semester and she cannot complete her first semester report card for that student.

 @kianabrede , greetings! It depends on how your school handles students withdrawing from a course. I would start by going to the gradebook and checking the box to show concluded enrollments - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-16543-4152813646 

If this doesn't work, then you might need to manually readd the student, view the grades, and then remove the student from the course.

I just want to add to what  @kona  wrote.

At my institution we do not use the "inactive" status yet (long story) so when this happens, I, as Canvas Admin, have to re-add the student to the course, capture the information for the instructor and then remove the student.
