How do I format an assignment that requires resubmissions as part of the writing process?

What is the best way for students to work through a process writing assignment in Canvas? For example, I teach a mini lesson on Monday and have them write a rough draft and submit it to me. On Tuesday, I teach another mini lesson and want them to apply it to the rough draft they submitted as a nongraded assignment on Monday, but now I want them to revise and resubmit. What is the best format and/or tools for this? What does it look like from the students' end?
