Hi @mfreeman3 and welcome to the Community! If your professor is using Turitin through Canvas, it is possible to allow resubmissions but this is something that your instructor needs to allow within the TII options. Otherwise you can only submit the assignment once.
I would reach out to you professor and ask about whether they would allow you to resubmit. If so they could let you know their preference on how to do this.
