Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, as you will see from a screenshot of some of my Announcements, I don’t have the indicated box to check. When I tried with the dot that I do have, nothing happens. Suggested remedy doesn’t seem to be for the Announcements I have. Maybe an earlier version of Canvas? This is maddening. I hate to burden a ‘Community’ and instead would expect that there would be a 1-800 Canvas Guru. For the cost of the courses and the unilateral imposition of CANVAS, UNR owes its students an efficient and competent problem solving process than burdening other CANVAS users who probably have more demands on their time than shouldering CANVAS’ responsibilities to help their users. Microsoft or Adobe should be so lucky as to pass their HELP responsibilities on to their customers.

That is a little weird.  Is the course from a previous semester?  Depending on how your school has things set up in Canvas, courses that have passed their end date or the end of a semester go into a Concluded state where they are essentially "read only".  That is one guess for perhaps why you can't delete them, or it's possible your school has changed the default permissions for whatever role you have in the course.  Either way this might be something you'll need to check with your school Canvas admins about since it's specific to your instance.

Thanks, reaching a UNR Help person is what I have been trying to do. Quite frankly thought that was you. I have to be on campus tomorrow, I'll start by visiting Shannon Ellis Vice President, Student Services. Would like to think having a local Help person for Canvas would come under student services. If not, then Ms. Ellis can point me in the right direction.
