How to send global message

How do I as a principal send a global message to all my students in Canvas?

Can I create a global announcment as a teacher?  I would love to be able to put an announcment in my class that shows up at the top of the page.....no way for students/parents to miss it!  Sometimes announcments get buried in the To Do list and never read!

The ability to create announcements across multiple courses is exclusive to the admin role. However, if your goal is to put your course assignments front and center, as a teacher you can add a feed of announcements to your course home page: How do I show recent announcements in the Course Home Page?  provides the instructions.
