How do post my name and photo onto a course student list

I'm not too sure what you mean by 'student list' but here are a couple of guides for adding to your profile with a photo.

Otherwise perhaps you were asked to add your photo somewhere in the course, a discussion perhaps? Here are a couple of guides for that
