Is it possible to "complete" or strike-through a Canvas Calendar event that you create?

What the title says.
One of our students reached out to our Help Desk about the fact that when they complete an assignment in Canvas, the "event" receives a strike-through in Canvas Calendar, but if they create their own event or To-Do in Canvas Calendar there doesn't seem to be an option to do that.
I have done some testing as well and cannot figure out a way to generate that strike-through state for my own calendar events or To-Do items.
Is there a way to do this that we are just missing? Should this be submitted as a feature request?

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
No, it is not possible to mark personal to-do items as completed. This is primarily a feature used for course assignments and quizzes.
That being said, I recommend submitting this as a feature request! I feel that this is a feature that several canvas users would benefit from, and I personally would love to see it implemented in the future. I know other Canvas customers have also brought this idea up, so I think it would be great for you to submit a feature request.
