I've recently been trying to add an app that offers accessibility tools bundled in a widget. The problem is that the only way to add it to Canvas is through a Javascript. So in Canvas, I've only seen that Javascripts can be added in the theme editor.

The question is, is there any other way to add a JavaScript or adding the script using that tool should work?

The theme editor is the only way to add custom Javascript to Canvas. 

Another way to integrate an app into Canvas is through LTI

The previous post seems correct.  

The theme editor is the only way to add custom Javascript to Canvas, or through an external tool. I believe there is a community blog post that does comparisons here on certain tools:
