[ARCHIVED] Like in announcements missing

I've enabled liking of posts in the announcements but students are unable to like the posts.

I have not set any restrictions on who can or can't like them. This is happening in multiple courses too.

I know there used to be an issue but I thought it was fixed. Is there something I need to enable?

I tried this out in my own sandbox course, and I also was not able to see the "like" icon for me or my students after creating a new announcement in the course.  However, this Guide does indicate that this should be possible: How do I allow students to like replies in a cours... - Instructure Community.  I think it would be a good idea for you to contact the Canvas Help Desk staff to report this potential bug so that they can dig a bit deeper into this issue.  If you do contact them, please come back to this thread to provide an update for us so that we know how this was resolved for you and your students...thanks!
