@CommunityForums, I can't believe there is only one post on the entire internet that mentions this issue by the exact phrase of the error message. I'm seeing the same too in a course today on my end (screen shot attached). It was a video file a student uploaded a few days ago that I happened to catch today when helping an instructor with a discussion assignment.
I am going to guess the solution would involve contacting your local Canvas support and, if possible, asking the user to try uploading their media again.
If there are any other pages on this site that mention the general error message, perhaps those should be updated to mention the phrase "Your media has been uploaded and will appear here after processing." If someone at Canvas took time to write up this error message, surely there is documentation somewhere that will mention it along with suggestions on troubleshooting.
Also, where is this "not the solution" option you mention? I don't see it anywhere.
