Modules

I am very new to this. What is a module? Is it a course I would teach?

Hi Joe, welcome to the Canvas community.  I like to think of Modules as buckets; they are something you put things into. They can be used to organize content in your course in whatever manner you feel works best.  I personally am a fan of using Modules to break up content by time, so I often will have modules for Week 1, Week 2, etc.  Many others might use a Unit approach with modules named Unit 1, Unit 2, etc.  The idea that I use is to then put everything related to Week 1 or Unit 1 within that Modules.
