Multiple Choice answers in a quiz

It appears that the correct answer is always first in a quiz.  Is there a way to reorder the possible answers?

That is not true.  You always have the option to choose whichever answer for a multiple choice question you want to be the "correct" answer.  I am assuming that you are using current Classic Quizzes.  If this is the case, check out the screenshots provided in this Guide:

Scroll about half-way down the page, and look for the heading "Change Correct Answer".  This will show you how to change the green arrow to the left of possible answer choices to a different location ... marking that item as "correct".  Just make sure that you click the "Update Question" button when you are done, and then scroll to the very bottom of your quiz when you are completely done to make sure you save all of your changes.

If you are using New Quizzes, you will see that there is a round circular icon to click to the left of any potential answer choice to mark it as the "correct" answer:

This Guide also shows you how you can shuffle answers in a multiple choice question...if this is something you want to do.

(Please note that you might not have access to New Quizzes at your school.  Not all schools have enabled New Quizzes just yet.  If this is the case, you would need to reach out to your school's Canvas administrator to have a discussion with him/her and see what the plan is to making New Quizzes available to you and your fellow instructors at your school.)

To add to this question, How do you create a multiple choice question where the instructor is able to mark all of the answers as correct.  The student then is able to select just one answer and receive full credit OR they can answer whichever responses apply to them and still receive full credit.  For example, in my health class I might have the question:  Do you get your blood pressure checked regularly?  A) yes B) no

The student can answer either one (both answers are correct) and they get full credit.....OR

I might ask the question:  What is your target heart rate for 60%?  A) 120-125 B) 126-130 C) 131-135 D) 136-140 

Again, all answers are marked as correct by the teacher so no matter what choice the student selects they get full credit.

CAN THIS BE DONE IN CANVAS?

I teach at 3 different colleges and they use Moodle, Brightspace and D2L.  All 3 of these programs do it but I can't figure out how to get Canvas to do what seems to be a standard for the other programs?

I am new to this community so it won't let me post a new thread.  Can anyone post this for me??? I'd love for the engineers to fix this!!!!

I had the same question. I happened upon a "What options can I set for a quiz?" page with "Graded Surveys" as an option. When you create a quiz from the Quizzes page, if you use the "Classic" option, you can select "Type of quiz" (Graded or ungraded quiz or graded or ungraded survey). The only issue I have with this is that a student receives full credit for the survey whether or not they answer every question - which obviously doesn't work for your example questions!

I am unable to find a way to have "No Answer" be wrong while allowing any or all of the available answers be correct. My personal example is a "Select all that apply" question, so as a work-around, I have had to regrade a Multiple Answer question to adjust to full credit provided the student selected at least one.

I hope this at least gives you an option, although I know it doesn't really answer the question you asked!
