Multiple choice answer in quiz shows correct response

Hello,

I have just created my first quiz, which includes one multiple choice question. When I designed this multiple choice question, I was forced to mark one of the choices as the "correct" answer.

I then published the quiz in order to access it via the "Student View", to check everything was OK, and I found something fishy. When I get to the multiple choice question, the answer I had previously marked as "correct" appears in a larger font.

Is this only in the "student view" but students will see all the choices in the same font size? Did I do something wrong in the designing of the question?

Is this classic or New Quizzes?  Did it show up in the quiz preview?  If so, then it is probably something you did inadvertently.

I just checked classic quizzes and it did not occur for me in classic quizzes.

I just checked new quizzes and it did not occur there for me either.

So best guess is that you inadvertently changed the font size when you typed in the answer

Thanks for your answer. Here is what I know:

• I believe it is new quizzes.
• It does happen in the preview as well.
• I actually created a bank of questions, which has 5 questions, out of which only one is given to the student. They are very similar with some signs or coefficients changed. The 5 choices for each questions are the answers for each of the 5 versions, hence I marked a different one as the correct one for each version. I ran the "student view" multiple times to get different questions from the bank, and the issue happens with all of them. So no, I didn't accidentally change the font on one.

I wonder what could it be.

EDIT: the choices are equations introduced with the equation editor of the rich text editor. After typing this equations I did "enlarge" them, so they are easier to read. However, I did so for all choices, and making sure they all had the same height.

Yes!, it was that, I should have changed the font size before typing the equation in order for it to be larger, rather than manually increasing the size of the equation once typed.

I did the latter because, once typed, the font of the equation cannot be formally changed, which is really counterintuitive.
