Option to embed video link into assignment is missing

It looks like the option on embed video link into the assignment description is gone. Now when I click the media icon I can only upload a downloaded recording or create a new recording. Is this feature gone?

It's not gone, it's just in a slight different place (actually two places).  The Icon is a cloud looking icon now and it's on the far right of the toolbar.  As such it's often not visible without clicking the 3 dots on the right side of the toolbar.  It's also available though with the new menu items under Insert.
