[ARCHIVED] Paper going wrong place

A student submitted an essay to me. I never received it. This past weekend, another teacher was grading papers on Canvas and she came across the essay. How did that happen, and how can we prevent it in the future?

Hello  @stodd1 ‌, without knowing all the details it sounds like the student submitted it in the wrong place.  If you check with your Canvas Admin for your school or institution, they should be able to look at the log for that student and see where they submitted the assignment.
