Hello everyone! I am trying to post a short introduction to a discussion thread via PowerPoint narration. Here are the instructions: you must store the video offline, link to the content, and ensure that you give permission to (instructors email) and your classmates to view the file. Do not upload video presentations.
I have created the PowerPoint and it is saved to my desktop but I am uncertain how to link to the content. Do I do it through Kaltura Media? I see an option for User Media but don't know how to access that or how to give anyone permission. Do I link to my computer file?
This is my first class using Canvas and I did the passport to canvas and read other tutorials but still am not sure how to accomplish adding my media file correctly.
Thank you!

Hello @BrittanyBarnes1 ...
I think this would be a better question to ask of your instructor. The vast majority of folks here in the Canvas Community do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or any of your courses, and even though you've provided the instructions for this discussion thread/PowerPoint narration, I wouldn't feel comfortable overstepping your instructor giving you unintended instructions on what to do. Reaching out to your instructor would be your best option if the instructions are not clear. You can contact your instructor directly from within Canvas. Click on the "Help" icon on the left-hand global navigation menu of Canvas, and then select the option "Ask Your Instructor a Question". This will allow you to select your course and write a message to your instructor. Hopefully, he/she will respond to you soon.
Good luck to you! Keep us posted if there are any questions about the above...thanks!

I also faced the requirement to add a voiceover to a presentation for an answer in Canvas. At first, I didn't know how to do it correctly, but it turned out that the most convenient way was to record my voice directly in PowerPoint, save it as a video, and upload it via Kaltura. It really works and meets the teacher's requirements.
