Howdy @ahmelchor ,
Hope all is well. Thanks for your question.
In order to add a PowerPoint file to a Canvas Page (new rich content editor), you'll want to do the following.
- Upload the PowerPoint to Files in your Canvas course (this way you can arrange it into whatever folder you prefer; there are other ways to upload but I always suggest ensuring you have organized files).
- Open your Page where you want to link the PowerPoint.
- Click on the Edit button.
- Click on the space where you want the PowerPoint linked and type in a meaningful description ie Publisher's Chapter 1 PowerPoint (PPT)]. You want a meaningful description as it is a best practice for accessbility.
- Highlight what you just typed.
- On the New Rich Content Editor, click on the Document file icon.
- Click on Course Documents.
- If you just uploaded the document, it should be one of the first ones listed and just click on it.
- Then click on the Save button at the bottom of the window.
If you aren't using the new rich content editor: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26374-how-do-i-create-a-file-link-in-a-page-in-a-course
Hope that helps,
