Quiz Alerts

I need help understanding the "alerts" Canvas gives for tests. I have a student who received 3 alerts that all indicated different things about the quiz. "This quiz will be submitted in 30 Mins" "You have been given extra time on this attempt"  These all appeared simultaneously and contradicted each other. Is there a specific setting for "alerts"?  Is there a place in Canvas I can read about them and see why and when they occur?

A user who receives the message 'You have been given extra time on this attempt' will be one who has been given extra time via the 'Moderate quiz' options. You can see more details here:

I wonder if the student received the standard notice for a student who hadn't been given extra time, and then also received the extra one since they had unique settings enabled?
