Hello community:
I do not see a space to offer suggestions for Canvas so I thought to put it here. Would it be possible to place the score box for Quizzes at the bottom of student responses?
For example, I have been scoring students' essay exams and on reflex, I put the score in the "fudge numbers" box which is located at the bottom of the student response. The score box, by contrast, is located at the top of the student response. For a while, I couldn't figure out why the student scores were not posting. So after reading the essay, you have to scroll back to the top, put in the score and then scroll back to the bottom and click the update scores. Too many steps for a simple score.

Good morning, @kkaris ...
The place to submit your ideas for consideration and future voting is located here:
Canvas Ideas and Themes - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
Before you submit your idea, you'll want to take a look at the documentation for how to submit an idea to the Community. Please take a look at the documents under the heading "Ideas and Themes" located at:
Community - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
I'll also mention that there really isn't any more work being done on current Classic Quizzes. So, any suggestions you have would have to be for the New Quizzes interface...and not for Classic Quizzes.
Hopefully this will be enough information to get you started.

Hi Chris,
I have been using Classic Quizzes for some time, and have tried the New Quizzes and find it cumbersome and not as intuitive. There's got to be a better solution to the Quiz software making it more user friendly and less prone to glitches. I will continue to use Classic Quizzes because it's simply easier.

Hello,
I can understand your suggestion regarding the placement of the score box for quizzes in Canvas. It seems that having the score box at the bottom of the student responses would be more convenient for grading purposes, especially when reviewing longer essay exams.
Remember to provide detailed information about your use case and explain why the proposed change would enhance the grading process. The Canvas team appreciates specific feedback and user experiences when considering improvements to their platform.
By sharing your suggestion through the appropriate channels, you increase the chances of it being noticed and considered by the Canvas development team for future updates.
