Hello @hernaame1979
Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. Welcome to Canvas - we're here to help. Your assignment is likely just that - an assignment that you will write and work on outside of Canvas and then upload to the course. The instructions of your specific assignment are important in assisting you, but if you have specific questions about the details your instructor has given you or need help possibly with a tutor - it would be best to speak with you instructor or school directly to set this up and get the proper help you are looking for.
Canvas courses can be set up in a number of ways, but you will likely use "modules" tab on the left navigation along with other common tabs like assignments, discussions, syllabus, etc. Try to move through in order. When you need to actually submit the assignment, this guide should be helpful:
How do I submit an online assignment? - Instructure Community
There are guides for nearly every aspect of navigating your course that you would ever need. Hopefully this information helps!
If you have more questions regarding this issue(s) please feel free to respond with descriptive information as to give us a clear insight into the problem.
Hi @hernaame1979 ...
I would echo all of the things that @greydon said. In addition to that, I recommend checking out some of the video tutorials here in the Canvas Community. These will give you some general directions on how to use the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System).
The above link includes a set of six videos that you can watch. If you want to watch additional video tutorials, you can find those at:
As Greydon mentioned, there are all kinds of other written Guides that provide much more information about Canvas. Those are all located here:
But, I recommend sticking to the video tutorials first...and then if you want to take a deeper dive into how Canvas works, you can then look at the written documentation for more specific things.
Finally, I navigated around Eastern New Mexico University's website for a few minutes, and I found a helpful page for you to take a look at:
In addition to your instructor for help with specific instructions for your assignments, you might want to reach out to their Distance Learning team. Their contact information is listed at the bottom of the page I've linked to above.
I hope this info will be helpful to you. Good luck!
