SCORM linked out

I made a storyline project, exported as 2004 and put the link on a lms. Can I then take the link and add it to an assignment page so that the scorm information would report back? or is the only option to zip my storyline project and upload the zipped package to the scrom page? Id love to be able to edit the link easily and the zip package in canvas doesnt allow for that.  Im looking for another option. Thanks

At the end of September 2020, I offered up this solution for Articulate Storyline content in Canvas: Storyline 360 Content Not loading Properly.  I'm not sure if this will help for your needs, but I wanted to at least give you the link to look through that conversation.  Hope it helps in some way.
