Seeing submitted assignments via an observer's calendar

How do you see completed assignments in the calendar view of an observer account?  The student's calendar shows submitted assignments as crossed out, but the observer's calendar doesn't do the same thing.  It makes it extraordinarily difficult for an observer to see what assignments might still be outstanding.

Hi Andrew ~

With the Canvas Parent app, you see little labels from the Calendar that say things such as: Submitted, Late, Missing, or Graded. It's one of the features that's available in the app that isn't available through the browser.

I think it sounds like a great Feature Idea though! (How does the feature idea process work in the Canvas Community?‌) I bet other Observers would appreciate this little extra level of communication as well.

Oh my... it's been a feature request since 2015! That's not terribly encouraging, especially since the code is clearly already written.
