Lately, I've been having problems grading in Speedgrader (which has been less than speedy).
These are relatively small files. Mostly .docx.
Anyone else having issues with this?

Good morning, @masuccm ...
I've not heard of issues like this...and I'll admit that I haven't been in the SpeedGrader for a while (I do not teach, but I was a former Canvas admin). Have you tried reaching out to Canvas Support to report these kinds of issues to see if they have any suggestions or if they are aware of existing issues? How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?

Hi @masuccm,
I am a Canvas Admin at my school and have started getting these reports from my instructors here. They are working in Speedgrader and get this error when they move from one student to another (small word files or embedded web videos or discussions as content -- nothing huge). Did you ever figure out what was going on? I noticed that Canvas coaches marked this as resolved pretty quickly.
Thank you!
Emily
Hello!
I had some back and forth with Canvas on this. I sent in images and specific assignments when it showed up. The case was closed when I didn't respond during the hurricane. When it starts happening again, I think I'll try again.
They noted that the slow loading was a result of students navigating away from the page too early when submitting and a preview image wasn't generated.
They couldn't recreate any of the other issues (generally, it's pretty random across many different assignments). I saw no pattern other than all the assignments I had trouble with were using the Turnitin LTI.
So, no solution currently.
I'm glad it's not just me (or my institution) seeing this. Best of luck!
best,
Matt
I had a similar issue and used a private browsing window on Firefox. Uploads went much faster then, but not sure why. Before it was taking 2-3 minutes on Firefox (normal mode) and still not uploading for relatively small files (~50 KB). But when using private browser window on Firefox it would take less than 1 second I would expect.
Hopefully this helps if others run into this.
