My students shared an issue with me, and I don't know who to tell. Our campus person told me to come here. I looked in the forums, and didn't see anything on this issue. And, I don't have time to look any more.
I am using the annotation feature for students to submit work. However, the annotation feature on phones and iPad is tricky—it looks like there are no directions, and to get to the annotation “Tab”, they have to hit “submit”. Which is not intuitive.
So, students think the assignment is blank or I messed up, when I didn't.

Hi @KMorganPhd -
Yes, with the Canvas Student app, students need to use the Share Menu to then select Canvas and the assignment to which they want to submit the work. It's not labeled "submit", but after reviewing this guide students should feel more confident with the process.
How do I submit a PDF assignment with annotations in the Student app on my iOS device?

Gosh--this seems less than ideal. And not intuitive. I will attempt to remember to explain this to students. It's unfortunate to have different directions for different modalities (laptop vs. app). The guides are also less than ideal IMHO. Videos would be better.
