I've been asked these questions by a teacher regarding student booking appointments in Canvas for one-to-ones. I've had a scan of previous posts and read guides on the usual way of doing this but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing another way of arranging appointments that was not documented.
Q1. Is there a way to create an anonymise appointment with a Teacher slot(s)? i.e. the student doesn't know who they are booking with?
A1. This wouldn't be possible would it? Or rather the only way it would is if a teacher created a generic time slot. There is no way for a student to create their own time slot and get a random teacher allocated.
Q2. Are there automated email confirmations for when students book a slot or add an event to a calendar?
A2. Can anyone confirm the guidance here that suggests this is possible but only if the student's have opted to get these notifications?
Q3. Can a time limit be set on a student's booking?
A3. As with the first one I guess if these are slots the teacher sets the time and there is no way for students to set their own time for an appointment style event.
I saw a nice workaround for student anonymous appointments by creating groups for each student, that is the sort of trick I want to make sure I don't miss?
Thanks
