[ARCHIVED] Test/ Quiz Lock from not completing?

Is there any way you can lock a quiz if the student did not finish the quiz in class time? I'm trying to prevent them from going home to complete it with other help.

Hi Hunter,

Yes you can lock a quiz. You can do so by going into the quiz settings and  setting until date and time to the end of class so that a student cannot go home or outside the time frame for which you would like for them to be able to take a quiz.

hunter.gibbons‌, the advise that  @bneporadny ‌ provided is a great way to accomplish your request.  It is probably the most common way I have seen.  Another way I like to do it is the passcode option where you set a passcode for the quiz (also in the setting up options).  I also do this for all my in class quizzes/tests so that I can fully give directions before students start taking it.  After students are all logged in, I change the code so that no one else can get in unless I share the new code with them.
