Tutoring

Hello!

I am a tutor at Kent State, Tusc Campus. I am NOT an instructor. Are there tutorials or instructions on how I can tutor using Canvas? I previously used Blackboard and was able to use a whiteboard to see students' problems and help with solutions.

Welcome to using Canvas, @MonicaTitmas. The Canvas tutorials for users are aimed at teachers and students, and my guess is your role is based on the student role. Here are some suggestions:

• The Canvas overview for students is a good start
• That video is part of a collection of videos for students
• And if you have questions specific to the Canvas tools you are using, check out each tool's section of the Canvas Student Guide

I also suggest contacting your tutorial services coordinator and/or the instructors you are working with to find out their ideas for how Canvas can best help you support student learning.

This would be a question you would need to ask folks at BYU.  You've posted your question in the global Canvas Community website, and we don't have access to your Canvas environment, nor do we know what tutoring options that BYU might have available to you.  It would be best for you to ask your instructor or someone from the BYU Tutoring Services team.  I briefly navigated around BYU's website, and I found the following page that might be of help:

There is a tab called "CONTACT INFO" on that page which has a number of people listed that you can reach out to.
