When will the search feature be fixed?

Here is what happens when I try to search on a student's name: Search says I am on instance 1 of 22. I know there are not 22 instances. When I click on the down arrow to move to the next instance I get stuck in a loop between instance 1 and 2 (which are the same post). This is the problem: I do not know if there is an actual additional instance, or, maybe it is on another automatically created page that I have to search separately. And this is creating direct problems for me in the central feature of my interactions with students in my online courses. Search needs to work 100% confidently. 

There are no steps I can take to solve this problem, I need Canvas to fix New Designs so that it actually works.

The discussion Search function is a total failure with the new discussion updates for so many reasons. Just the other day I found myself searching on multiple pages of student postings within one discussion. I learned the search function is limited to the displayed page content only, not the entire discussion forum.

And speaking of parsing discussion forum postings to multiple pages. Is this new too? I do not recall ever seeing discussions broken up, overflowing on to multiple pages.
