I really need to be able to import comments with individual grades. Much more important than one single overall grade comment that is in place now.
Obviously the database has a place for this because we can ENTER comments for every single grade when we
"SpeedGrade" but SpeedGrade is more like slo-mo grade because I have to do all the work all over again that has been entered in my spreadsheet. This tool might be a bit more useful when students are submitting their files to Canvas and you want to see the file and grade it and comment it but we never grade that way so it is useless.
The fact that I can go to Speed Grading after the grades have already been posted and add comments tells me that there is a space in the data for a comment for every grade - why can this not be made available for data import???

@jsraquet It seems that, at this time, there are just not endpoints connecting for this in Canvas. It seems that this can be done via the API and that some folks have discussed possible workarounds at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Question-Forum/Importing-Assignment-Comments/m-p/184569.
It looks like the feature idea related to this topic has been archived, but I encourage you to submit a new idea. I agree this would be a useful feature and I think the community would get behind it.
