0My best student earned a 10 on several quizzes but it recorded the number as a zero. Other students had similar issues. There is no due date. Others got the correct score. I'm not sure what to do or why it happened. I tried adding fudge points...it still gave a zero. I tried regrading but still a zero score showed up.
That looks like it is a New Quiz format. I would say to look at the point total assigned to the quiz (on the quiz navigation link page, click on the ellipses to edit the quiz) On that setting page make sure the point total is not set to 0. If it is 0, you need to set it to the point value you want for the quiz - this total is not automatically set to the point totals of the questions. Because you said only some students, I doubt this is the issue.
That would explain the type of behavior. Problems like this are always difficult to figure out without knowing all the details on when the assignment was last edited and without being able to see what is going on.
I guess one thing you could check is the time when the quiz was taken for the students. If all the problems are before a certain time and all the valid scores are after that time, then you may have very well changed something. You can sort the listing in speegrader by time of submission to make that an easy task.

In another class, it had a score (1 point/ question) and was a written response that I hand-graded. Again I typed in scores on Speedgrader, but it didn't take that score. When I typed it in on the grade book, it let me update it there.
It all is confusing.
