How do you incorporate Zoom into Canvas?

Hi there  @karenmoreau ...

Zoom is a third-party product that can be integrated into Canvas courses via LTI external app configuration.  Usually, this is set up by your school's local Canvas administrator or someone in your school's Online Learning/eLearning department.  Zoom has basic and paid licenses (see the differences between these types at Account types – Zoom Help Center).  As you can see, there are some limitations with a basic account compared to a full licensed account.

Canvas admins can set up the Zoom integration by following the steps outlined on App Marketplace: Zoom LTI Pro.  Once the app has been set up and configured by your school's local Canvas admin, a Zoom button will be available in Canvas courses where instructors can schedule their Zoom meetings as well as store recordings on the cloud.

A while back, I replied to another Canvas user with some additional details about the benefits of using Zoom and Canvas together...so here's the link to that discussion: Question about using the Zoom integration with Canvas?.

I hope this information will be of help to you, Karen.  Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!  Stay safe, and be well.
