calculate total grade across multiple courses

A student is registered for a programme (e.g. Advanced certificate in Health Management) which is made up of 11 coursework courses that each run across 7 weeks in canvas, and 1 research course that runs throughout the duration of the programme in canvas. 

• The totals of the academic modules combined counts for 50% of the programme mark
• The total of the research module will count 50% of the programme mark 

Does canvas have a functionality to weight, calculate, and display the programme mark for a student group? Automatically within canvas itself?

I don't think there is a way to do this currently.  This would be a great idea to suggest as an Idea:  How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Community?

But students might be able to see the total grade for each course in one place by going to their Dashboard and look at the URL and type slash (/) and Grades.  I would look something like this:  https://yourinstitution.instructure.com/Grades
