To email your teacher, you will need to check your course for information on a syllabus or facilitator page for a direct email. Alternatively, you could check your school's webpage for a faculty directory.
Canvas has an Inbox which kind of feels like email. It has many of the same functions but think of it as threaded messages that are housed inside Canvas instead of email like we use with Outlook or Gmail.
