When I put a comment in a students grade book for some reason it goes to other students grade book under comments

Are you in the actual gradebook? Or speedgrader for an assignment?

If you're in speedgrader - is it a group assignment? Or an individual assignment?

I am in speed grader for the assignment and it is not a group assignment

Unfortunately my only guess was that it was a group assignment with send comment to all group members checked. Otherwise, I have not heard of this happening. Sorry.
