Can you highlight a paper that students have submitted using a text box?

Hi  @jnegley  and welcome to the Community!  If you are talking about using the Docviewer annotations for an assignment submitted via text entry, this document explains that that feature is currently not available, https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26259-how-do-i-grade-a-text-entry-submission-in-speedgrader 

The idea has come up a number of times as feature idea requests, but so far haven't garnered a great deal of support.

How has it not garnered support?  I am supposed to be able to grade assignments submitted in Canvas.  If Canvas offers textbox submissions, the should also offer textbox annotations.  This is NOT acceptable!!!!!!
