[ARCHIVED] how to start a new discussion post?

Im new to canvas and this is very confusing (i miss bb).  When i click on assignments to submit my attestation form nothing populates but I know its due. Also, I can see the guidelines for the discussion post but I don't know where to go to start a new post. Please anyone help.

Hi!

Underneath the guidelines of the discussion board, there should be a "reply" button (#1 in the image below).

This lesson will walk you through the features of Discussions: How do I view Discussions as a student? 

If the reply button is not there, double-check the discussion availability dates from the main Discussions page.
