how do I move my own video from one course to another?

That depends on where the video is.  If you recorded it or uploaded it using the Record/Upload Media tool in the RCE, then you can actually copy the HTML and paste it into another course quite easily.  If you need to do this, I can create a quick screen cast to show you how.  Another option is below.

If it is on a Page, Discussion, Assignment instructions or another Canvas Tool, you can use the Import Course Content tool to copy that content from one course to another.
