student assigned as designer, can not view quiz to mark

I have a student who was assigned in Canvas as a designer so that she had access in order to upload lectures. She wrote an exam (was able to access it as a designer) but now we can not access her exam through "moderate this quiz" or speedgrader in order to mark it. I changed her role back to student to no avail.
In the list of students to mark, her name is greyed out.
Can anyone help me get her quiz answers back?

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
Since Designers aren't students, they do not have the ability to take quizzes or submit assignments, and by default (unless enabled by your institution), cannot view or edit student grades, either. To me, it sounds like you're saying you're unable to grade her quiz? Are you able to grade the other student's quizzes? If she didn't take the quiz yet and is enrolled as a student, then it will say that there is no submission available until she completes the quiz while enrolled in the course with the student role.
