taking a previous teachers course

The previous teacher added me to the canvas modeule for last years course. Since I will be taking it over do I remove her files and add mine to this shell or will I be given an entirely new sandbox for the course? I see her old students listed in the files. I am not sure if when the new course starts up (it is a class offered every fall) if it just resets with new student info.

This would be a great question for your local Canvas Administrator. Likely, your school will create a new course, just for you and your new students. Some schools copy past content or use a template/blueprint to bring in content. Some schools ask instructors to copy and/or build the content themselves. This would be something that your Canvas Administrator would be able to confirm for you as you prepare lessons and activities.
