Canvas Deploy Notes (2022-03-30)
Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document.
Deploy notes indicate notable changes in the deploy by feature. To view functionality according to user role, please see Canvas Features by User Role.

Summary
When adding a Calendar event, a label has been added to the title field.
Change Benefit
This change allows all users to have improved digital access to the calendar when creating events.
Feature Workflow
In the Calendar, create an event and click the More Options button.
The title field includes the Event Title label.

The Bulk Due Date Editor has been updated to include a time field.
Change Benefit
This change allows instructors to bulk update the due date times of assignments.
Feature Workflow
On the Assignments page, click the Options icon [1]. Then select the Edit Assignment Dates option [2].
To edit the time for an individual assignment due or availability date, type the desired time.
Additional Details
Previously, when bulk changes were made, the time defaulted to 11:59pm.

If enabled, the subject home page displays an Immersive Reader button. Users can click the button to view the page using the Immersive Reader, which offers advanced learning features.

Microsoft Immersive Reader enhances the reading experience within Canvas by improving accessibility and boosting reading comprehension. When enabled, Microsoft Immersive Reader has been updated to display a reader button in subject home pages in addition to other areas of Canvas.
