Canvas Deploy Notes (2024-09-25)

Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document. Institutions are responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of their custom CSS/JS with each release and deploy to assess potential impacts.

Summary

The Equation Editor function is added to the Rich Content Editor in SpeedGrader.

Change Benefit

This feature enables instructors to incorporate math equations into their comments on assignments.

Feature Workflow

SpeedGrader Rich Content Editor

When writing a comment in Speedgrader, click the Equation icon to add math equations.

SpeedGrader RCE Equation Editor

Then, the Equation Editor displays for instructors.
