Canvas Studio Media Player Keyboard Shortcuts

Depending on what part of the video player you are viewing, Studio supports different keyboard shortcuts. 

Media Player

Left arrow	Seek back 5 sec
Right arrow	Seek forward 5 sec
Up arrow	Increase volume by 5%
Down arrow	Decrease volume by 5%
Space	Toggle play/pause
Enter	Toggle play/pause
F	Toggle full screen
M	Toggle mute
Esc	Exit full screen

Play/Pause Button 

Key	Action
Left arrow	Seek back 5 sec
Right arrow	Seek forward 5 sec
Up arrow	Increase volume by 5%
Down arrow	Decrease volume by 5%
Space	Toggle play/pause
Enter	Toggle play/pause

Timeline

Volume Control

Speed Button

Up arrow	Pick the next higher speed

Captions Button

Up arrow	If there are captions, and focus is on the On option, turn captions off
Down arrow	If there are captions, and focus is on the Off button, turn captions on
Space	Open captions menu and focus Upload/Replace button  If focus is on Upload/Replace button, open file picker
Enter	Open captions menu and focus Upload/Replace button  If focus is on Upload/Replace button, open file picker
Esc	Close captions menu
Tab away	Close captions menu

Comment Bubbles Toggle

Video Quality Button

Up arrow	Pick the previous source in the menu
Down arrow	Pick the next source in the menu

Full Screen Button

Other Global Shortcuts 

• Whenever a modal is open, pressing the Esc key will close the modal. 
• When starting a search, pressing the Esc key will close the search.  Note: On the search results page, the search bar will not close by pressing the Esc key.
• The menus on the media page (Share, Delete, Download), if open, will close on tabbing away from the page.
• The Esc key only toggles the Delete/Confirm Delete state of the Delete menu.
