When students are using Canvas on a computer device (laptop/desktop/chromebook), students have the ability to modify and edit sections of an ePortfolio. Yet on the mobile web version and the Canvas Student app, they only are able to modify the homepage.
Our work around is to encourage our children to create a folder in their root files of canvas and name it ePortfolio images, then upload images to that folder on their mobile device, then modify the work on a computer device.
However, our school is not 1:1 and most students access work via their mobile devices.
Good morning, @kpantaleoWFSD ...
It sounds like you might be making a suggestion for improvements/enhancements to the Canvas mobile app experience. Normally, I would suggest that you create a new Feature Idea or comment on an existing Feature Idea that is similar, but right now all Feature Ideas are temporarily locked down. This means that nobody can create, comment, or rate Feature Ideas until the beginning of February while Instructure does a bit of reorganization and clean-up of the Feature Idea process. You can read more about that here: Idea Conversations: The Path Forward.
These are the Guides that I would normally provide...including one for New Members (because New Members cannot submit new Feature Ideas until they "rank up"...which is similar to "leveling up" in video games):
I hope this will help a bit...even though it's not the solution you were probably looking for at this time.
