Issues with canvas studio logging student views

I have some students who say they have watched videos in studio assignments but I am not seeing their viewing logged in insights. What are some common issues that would cause a students viewing of a video to not be logged when they have watched it? I have some using mobile devices does that cause issues with their views being logged?

Out of curiosity regarding mobile, try having a student who used a mobile device watch the video on a computer. Does it then update that they viewed it?

I know I'm joining the discussion late here, however are you by chance sending these videos to your students through a public shared link? If that's the case, insights are unavailable unless you embed your studio media into a page or assignment using the RCE (rich content editor) using the studio button. This would allow insights and analytics to be available to you when students or other users watch your video.
