Managing number of attempts for a Canvas Studio quiz

I am an instructor and new to using Canvas Studio. Can someone explain how to limit the number of attempts that a student can take a Studio quiz? I indicated "limited attempts" within the assignment settings, but additional attempts continue to be offered. And if a student makes many attempts, which score is recorded in the gradebook?

Hey there @AnnMarieWeston ,

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!

It sounds like you created an assignment inside of your course, and then you embedded canvas studio media that has a quiz with it. Unfortunately, since the assignment settings specifically do not directly impact the studio media that you embedded within the assignment, studio will continue to provide unlimited attempts... and I don't think there's currently a way to limit the amount of attempts your students can have before the assignment due date. However, I think this is a feature Instructure is actively working on implementing for the near future, if I'm not mistaken.

But in short, the assignment settings aren't necessarily connected to the studio media you embedded. The media you embed has its own settings and controls that you control prior to finalizing the media embed on the assignments page. The attempts allowed is specific to the assignment itself, and not the studio media embedded within it, since it's an additional app you're embedding from essentially.

Hope this helps a bit!
Noah
