Hi,
I have added STUDIO to a module and I have populated it with videos. However the students do not have access to it. How can they see this ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @MarkSanders2 ,
Thank you for your clarification. I think the best way to go about this would be to create a new page in your module, then adding the studio video from your collection to that page as an embed by using the RCE (rich content editor). You will see a little plugins button that looks like a plug, and when you click on it, you’ll be able to view all your apps and click studio and select your video from there.
Hope this helps a bit!

Hi @JohannaJohannss ,
Welcome to the Instructure Community!
Would you mind clarifying- how exactly did you try sharing these videos with your students? Did you utilize the Rich-Content Editor on a page or assignment and embed it, or did you attempt to share a link?
Let us know so we can provide you with our best insight!

I'm having the same problem. I put it in the Studio section for my class. How can I share the link?
Hi @MarkSanders2 ,
Can you please clarify what link you’re trying to share, and how you’re trying to add your content to the modules?
Thanks,
Noah
I am trying to share a video that I recorded on Studio with my class. I can see it in the Studio section of the class canvas page, but my students cannot. When I copied and posted the link into a module on Canvas, it never loads when clicked on.

Where are the "little plugins button that looks like a plug"?
This button is included on the rich content editor, which is the toolbar that appears at the top of the page when you're editing it. I will attach a photo for you below for reference!
At the top of what page? Canvas? Studio?
Hi Mark,
I am referencing the pages that you will have inside of your Canvas course.
To help you out, I went ahead and recorded a little demo video to help provide you with some visuals. I hope this helps you out! Let us know if you still experience trouble.

Also the student in the Student view of the canvas page- the Studio Blue Link does not appear along with the other settings I have included. It only appears on the far left Green column.
At this time, users with a student based role do not have access to view the Studio link via the course navigation. It is a link only visible to teachers which provides them with direct access to all of their courses media.
However, I think an update is coming sometime in the future where students will be able to see and interact with this link, but don’t take my word for it. I could be wrong about that.
