Valued Customers & Partners:

Today is the start of Instructure's next chapter. This morning, we announced that we have entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by investment funds managed by KKR, a leading global investment firm.

KKR was drawn to Instructure as they shared our vision and support our product innovation
strategy. They will be a strategic partner to us in achieving the ambitious goals that we have. KKR understands our industry and is investing in Instructure because they believe in our mission and recognize our potential to significantly impact education. Together, we expect to solidify our position as the education platform that powers learning for a lifetime and turns education into opportunities for all learners, globally.

With new investment comes new opportunities—for the business, our customers, and our partners. While this may be big news, our mission remains the same. We recently showcased our exciting strategy at InstructureCon, which includes strengthening the core Canvas LMS while driving innovation with new products and services across the platform. This commitment is unwavering.

Thank you for your business and thank you for entrusting us as your partner in learning.

Thanks for the information.  I hope that this will be for the betterment of the Canvas community.  I guess the fortunate aspect is that it is not Blackboard which would have meant the demise of Canvas (previous user of ANGEL and WEBCT LMS systems).
