New "Assign To" interface

The new “Assign To” slide-in bar is problematic, the change completely unnecessary. Until now, it was possible to change the due dates for students at the bottom of the Edit page and I could see at once several different Assign To’s. The new slide-bar that appears when selected is too large as are the large calendars which appear when trying to change any of the dates and times, covering up dates and times I need to see for reference.
And, the font and entry boxes are so large I cannot even see the bottom of the slide-in bar necessitating using the slide bar to move Assign To up in order to see the “Until” and “Time” boxes. This is very annoying and frustrating. It is even more annoying and frustrating when I have to see and enter different due dates and times for different students.
This change makes the Assign To feature far less efficient and more time consuming to use.
